A short aside:

Some of you may have worked, or played with Deb (Jaecks) Black with OE

in the '70s. Recently she received the award for "Caregiver of the Year".

She gave the speech for the recent "Relay for Life" - which we have

participated in since it started here 12 years ago.

I think it is rewarding to hear reports of what our 2nd generation has been doing.

G&P, Ann Jaecks

Subject: Re: [Dialogue] Volunteer Resource Committee request

I am in the process of planning two programs which have been requested for this Fall :
for Community Caregivers here in the Guilderland, NY area, EXPLORING SPIRITUALITY: Enhancing the Care Giving and Care Receiving Journey. (I am on the Advisory Board of this non-profit organization, where 500 volunteers provide free services to people of all ages, making it possible for them to remain in their homes/live their lives in dignity).
for The Consultation Center in Albany, NY : THE ART OF LIVING AN ADVENT LIFESTYLE.
(I am a spiritual director associated with the Center).

Best regards,
Ellen Howie

Dear All:

The Volunteer Resource Committee (Alan Gammel, Judy Lindblad, Eunice Shankland, Marie Sharp, Karen Snyder, Janice Ulangca, and Jim Wiegel) is interested in connecting with colleagues to expand and further develop a network of encouragement and support for your projects and programs.

We would like to make the good news visible. We believe that many of you have current passions and – in the spirit of EI/ICA values - are making a difference in the world. Perhaps if we could surface your good works and amazing deeds you would find links that could assist, sustain or champion your cause.

Please, take a few minutes to answer this question. How are you currently involved in Inclusive profound spirituality or participatory social processes or sustainable environmental practices? Please, share it with us in a paragraph or two.

We will select a few responses each month to share in the ICA-USA monthly online newsletter.

Thank you for your continuing commitment to creating positive social change.

Be well,
Karen Sims
