ICA-USA will be soon be posting information about a number of program initiatives for 2010 and ways that interested persons can become involved. This will include a time next spring where we hope to have short-term sojourners join us in major work project on the Global Archives. Information about (1) the Archives, (2) a co-sponsored summer event on "Peace, Poverty, and Planet Earth" at Oklahoma City University, (3) a green initiatives task force, and (4) other projects will be forthcoming in the near future.

This announcement focuses on a gathering to plan ways forward for ICA-USA’s renewed engagement in international development. It will occur during the weekend of March 26-28, 2009, at 4750 N. Sheridan Road in Chicago. The purpose of the meeting is to create a practical plan of action for connecting resources from the United States, both human and financial, with opportunities to address innocent suffering in developing countries. It will also be an occasion to celebrate the life of Don Elliott and his long-time commitment to ICA’s work in international development.

Everyone who shares this passion is invited to attend. Registration information, along with a detailed agenda, can be found on our website at www.ica-usa.org. The link to the agenda and registration process is found at the bottom left of the home page.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact me or Dick Alton <richard.alton at gmail.com>: we are serving as co-hosts for the event.
