To add to the search -

Maybe the 'couple in Ft. Collins' Wiegel referred to was Bill and  
Carol Schlesinger.  I see Bill is listed in the Directory as being in  
El Paso, TX with Project Vida.   Ed and Miriam Shinn were among the co- 
founders of Village Earth and are listed on the board on the website.
