Dear Beret,  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I hardly knew Ron and really only had one encounter with him on the phone.  He had bought a piece of my beaded jewelry for you for your birthday.  When he received it, he called to thank me and seemed genuinely pleased with the piece.  When I hung up the phone, I thought "What a fine man!  I wish I knew him better."   He certainly made my day.

Subject: [Springboard] Ron Griffith - Journey On

Dear friends and colleagues,

Ron died peacefully on Thursday, March 12 at 12:35 am. We sat with him throughout his Big Journey.

Thank you for your care for us over the past nine months.
Grace and Peace,
Beret

ON THE DAY I DIE

On the day I die, when I'm being carried
toward the grave, don't weep. Don't say,

'He's gone!  He's gone."  Death has nothing
to do with going away. The sun sets and

the moon sets, but they're not gone.
Death is a coming together. The tomb

looks like a prison, but it's really
release from union. The human seed goes

down in the ground like a bucket into
the well where Joseph is. It grows and

comes up full of some unimagined beauty
Your mouth closes here and immediately

opens with a shout of joy there.
