Reminds me of Bill Moyers'  recent PBS interview with Karen Armstrong - she's convened scholars from major religions to work on the commonness of compassion in all the traditions. And from scholors from each tradition to deal with scriptures and teachings in their own tradition that seem to encourage "kill all the non-believers".  By "deal with" - she asks them to explain the  particular historical and cultural contexts of such references.

  A friend sent this movie trailer  to me this weekend. He is working on an interfaith master's degree. His dissertation advisor, Dr. Kurt Johnson sent it to him. It is a movie that is in production that promotes peace between all religious traditions. Kurt is actually one of the speakers.
