FYI, [in case you didn't know],
Peggy Campolo is the wife of prominent evangelical pastor Tony Campolo, and a prominent speaker in her own right.
She differs with her husband in her more tolerant embrace of gay Christians.
I personally have VERY SERIOUS DOUBTS that she was ever influenced by EI. But I'm prepared to be proved wrong by real evidence.
There's not only jargon, but a kind of rigid militant utopian ideology among the fundies. Of course we could never be accused of that!
Marshall

It's ironic that Peggy Campolo could -- or would -- develop a ministry advocating for gays when she is married to one of America's fiercest critics and motivators of the Christian church, the Rev. Dr. Tony Campolo, who argues the Bible forbids all homosexuality activity.
Their differences have made the couple, married 45 years, a "tag team " on the speaking circuit, taking the divisive religious debate into the corridors of the church.
"I have asked God, in tears, why this issue that does not even touch our family personally has to be a major area of disagreement for Tony and me," Peggy Campolo said Sunday night in a talk at First Congregational Church of Phoenix, sponsored by No Longer Silent -- Clergy for Justice, which seeks full inclusion of gays in religious life and society. "I get no answer in words, but because I know our dialogue is helpful to other people, I believe God is using Tony and me to model something that is important, however difficult it may be to endure."

Subject: [Dialogue] Happy Mothers Day

This story was in our Church Bulletin today. I think Mrs Campolo was
once a cadre member somewhere!

One evening at a dinner party, a woman asked Peggy Campolo in a rather
condescending tone, "Well, my dear, what do you do?" Mrs Campolo
answered:

"I am nurturing two young homo-sapiens into the dominant values of the
Judeo-Christian tradition in order that they might become instruments for the
transformation of the social order into the kind of eschatological utopia God
envisioned from the beginning of time."

The other woman answered, "Oh my, I'm just a lawyer."

And we got accused of jargon!
