[Dialogue] Chuck Gilbert

Got the sad word this morning that Dr. Charles (Chu ck ) Gilbert died this morning after a difficult cancer fight. Many may remember Chuck and Carolyn. Strong local colleagues here in the Atlanta area. Their family participated for several months in the Atlanta house. One of the Mosley boys lived with them for a time as well. When our family moved here to Atlanta, we were delighted to find them as very active members of Glenn United Methodist Church on the Emory campus where our family have been members for the last 20 years. In addition to our order and movement experience, both Chuck and Carolyn were proud graduates and long-term supporters of DePauw University in Greencastle Indiana where I attended a few years later. They had a better time at DPU than I did finding in their group folks like Max Stackhouse, Joe Flummerfelt, and David Cryer. 



In the last few months, I have been having some health issues as well. Chuck routinely went over  my doctor's no tes spending much more attenti on to my relatively minor issues than his own. Chuck was a good man - a true friend and a man who lived his life for others.
