Sorry to hear this news. We were in the Chicago House (Westside campus) with
Hubert when Chris was a baby. (I think you did infant school then.) He was
such an interesting person; we've lost a real presence.

Hubert McKinley Fulkerson, 72 years old, passed away on Dec 23, 2010, at
Capri Care at the Point Nursing Home in Phoenix, AZ, where he had lived
since May 8, 2006, after suffering a stroke. Hubert was born and raised in
Muskogee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Northeastern University in Tahlequah,
OK in 1968 with a BS in Mathematics. He worked with the Ecumenical Institute
and the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) from 1968 to 1988. His work with
the ICA took him from Oklahoma City and Chicago to communities in Nigeria,
India, Kenya and Zambia. He married Kay Schnizlein in Zambia in June, 1987.
He returned to the United States in 1988 and received a BS in Computer
Science from University of Central Oklahoma, graduating in the top 10% of
his class. He worked for Honeywell and AG Communications in Phoenix before
retiring. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Dara Griffith and his
grandson Marcus Mikala Griffith, and by his sister Martha Karpoff of
Albuquerque, NM, and his sister Kathleen Martin and his brothers Edward
Fulkerson, Merle Fulkerson and Douglas Fulkerson of Muskogee, OK. There will
be a memorial service Saturday Jan 29, 2011, in Phoenix, and at a later date
in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Institute of Cultural Affairs. Hubert was deeply loved, and will be missed
by his family and friends.

If you worked or volunteered with Hubert, We would appreciate details with
locations / cities, and dates to complete his family time line with photos
