Right.  It's funny, the person writing the article asked whether I had been "paid" to work in Mississippi and Indonesia-and I decided not to go there and simply use the phrase, "Peace Corps-like" work.  [The award apparently is only for unpaid efforts.] Terry remarked that the Mississippi and Indonesian reference amounted to only one sentence while the committee work (zzz) seemed to hold more weight.  Such is the way of the world.  Not sure how I would have articulated the ICA work differently-the whole write up process (written by someone else) was uncomfortable to me.

However, I must admit that it always makes me curious as to how little is
said of the years with the ICA and its work in so many colleagues little
"bios" I've read in some article, etc. For some it seems like life began
AFTER leaving our work together.  I guess it just reveals how many years
have really passed in the life we once experienced as colleagues.  Stranger
yet is how we still manage to seem so close to one another, keeping up on
what's happening, our thoughts, philosophy, families, etc.
