I agree, a list would be most impressive. I'm not sure if we could handle all the data if we asked two simple questions. What have you accomplished in the past 25 years as a result of your being in the order? What has sustained you over the years?

It’s funny, the person writing the article asked whether I had been “paid” to work in Mississippi and Indonesia—and I decided not to go there and simply use the phrase, “Peace Corps-like” work. [The award apparently is only for unpaid efforts.] Terry remarked that the Mississippi and Indonesian reference amounted to only one sentence while the committee work (zzz) seemed to hold more weight. Such is the way of the world. Not sure how I would have articulated the ICA work differently—the whole write up process (written by someone else) was uncomfortable to me.

> Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
