The circle around the wedge blade was the symbol of the new ICA unvailed in the Collegium Room in the basement on the West Side. The version before that looked like the Diner's Club logo. We also did the global studies, the Social Process triangle and Fishel was in charge or raising $222,000 to send Mathews and crew around the world just before the "turn symbol". Wiegel burned the triangle research under the table in the collegium room to call an end to the research. It was years later when we did an "end run" on the church and went directly to the parish. The Local Church Experiment was still if full swing when the ICA came into being. You all need to remember that memory is one of the first things to go at Randy's age.

In and around that year the Institute of Cultural Affairs was incorporated and EI/ICA moved its headquarters from its "seminary campus" on the west side to its "insurance building" on north side. Subsequently we drew a circle around the wedge blade and announced we were making a "turn to the world."

This piece of our history could have relevance for that dialogue this November.
