[Dialogue] Change belief

Dear Darrell

I might accept your assertion that some form of "we" or community is a
potential new integration or level of consciousness but to paraphrase M.
Scott Peck "an organization is the first escape from authentic
community." I work with corporations all the time and the biggest
contradiction at all levels is to bring the individuals to perceive
ownership and responsibility for "we" actions.

Individuals within corporations are willing to reap the benefits but see
a separation from the negative impact. Globally we are creating a story
of worth that CEO's are worth "364 times what their workers are worth"
yet weak systems for accountability. We have companies shipping jobs to
India and China and paying workers pittance while the management rakes
in billions. Yet from their perspective and within our current
cultural/economic framework this is not only allowed it is rewarded and
celebrated.

Perhaps you are right we are going through a transition and the current
form is one that will not survive. I am attaching a paper from Thomas
Friedman on a Theory of Everything about how globalization and
technology are transforming our globe.

What is the new form that is being called for?

I am realizing more and more our/my work needs to be in the area of
individual/organizational /community reflection and basing
transformation on that reflection. Becoming more grounded in spirit and
expanding or deepening context to include from I to All.

I think a lot of the work going on reflects this and perhaps we need to
look for ways to connect and learn from each other the work of the
archives, Mike May, Pat Webb the Silence foundation, PJD, Wiegel's
mediation work, Jack's work in India, Australia's work in several areas,
Stanfield The courage to lead, Packard's work on imaginal learning and
stance, Taiwan on Dialogue and Truth about life, etc. This is not an
inclusive list just a quick brainstorm.

How can it be shared? Who else is contributing to this edge and how?
Who is demonstrating the living on the edge?

With respect, Larry
