James,

It's 'fun' of you to start this thread.

I liked John's 'Merry Christmas' as part of it - as well as his description.

My 1971 (was that more than 40 years ago?) Social Process document only goes
down to 'Reconstructed Universe'.

Where can I get the document that goes to the next level?

Does this clarify?

Dear Jim and Paul,

Could we have meant the structure of a contentless process, which is only
informed by the participants responses?

Or could it have been talking about a state of Being, not Doing, or Knowing,
but Being... Contentlessness...not focused on the material, but on presence
of wonder itself.. not necessarily discontented or dissatisfied.
Contentlessness could be about the absence of noise and the bliss of
silence.

The wonder of words and the reality of the situations in life creates the
context for the meaning of the words and how we use them. Our reflection
gives form to our understanding, and our understanding is how we live out
the meaning of our lives, in separation, in unity, in fullness and
contentlessness.

Dear Jim,

In meetings these days we refer to balancing focus on content and process.
Maybe 'contentless' has to do with focusing on process: the way things are
done rather than what is done. I suspect it must have been more complicated
than that....

Hi Jack--

There is a tune, but it's not written down. Our son, who is a musician, is
visiting this weekend and is going to write it down--can send it then. Til
then it's in my head and on tape...the tune is reminiscent of a madrigal
melody. It's part of series called New World Madrigals.

Grace and peace,

Ellie

Is there a tune with this song? The words and images are terrific!

Thank you!

In the fullness of earth’s time

Praising life’s strange plight

            Creation’s timing is perfect

            Its Mystery rebirth

In a crowded city place

Awakes a soul and lifts his head

To the wonder of his fate

Called to lead life’s race

In the fullness of earth’s time

Across five thousand lands

Stretch the arms of woman and man

To build the earth again

Joined in life’s strange dance
