[Dialogue] Odd little "NRM" Meditation Questions

on the New Religious Mode Charts at a Mpls house there was an Odyssey
and as I remember a Meditation on a Kazaantzakis quote..."as soon as you
were born, a
new possibility was born with you..."
The Phenomenological axis was "The Dialogue -establishing an interior
community
The Existential axis was "missional comradeship COLLEAGUE Collaboration
I guess that was Mathews's skill matching phenomena over-against actual
existential experience and asking you to say what's so if you can...
Seems like you were to read the quote and the categories, listen and then
write what might be available
in a stream of consciousness kind of way what you heard or thought your
heard or just thought without
getting to scientific about it.
For a long time people pretty routinely spoke of someone as "being on their
meditative council"
In the Jenkins's reformulation of the NRM into the 9 Disciplines they use
the term "Interior Council" to
point I think at the same meditative-
basic-relational-psychological-imaginal (?) interior conversation and
brought forward into the light of day.
A similar thing happened recently when I listened to Kaze Gadway's [Kaye
Hayes] tell stories on the Mythos website. Af first I didn't know who she
was, then I began to recognize her voice and remembered my 1st RS1 teacher
and then I could hear whole sentences and paragraphs of lecture right down
to that particular twang and laugh and gesture of hers.
I had the same experience reading Brian Stanfield's book the Courage to Lead
- whole episodes of teaching "replayed" from Academy long ago. Like the time
he taught me to do a "cross-gestalt' that drove me crazy -you can't mix
categories like that I said...
Maybe I have an over-active imagination and I'm something of a frustrated
playwright who hears snippets of dialogue and tries to write them down in my
"morning pages".
Wondering if you have a similar interior dialog, if this is what was/is
being spoken of by meditative council and interior council.
I get the meditative part...not so clear about the council part. Maybe
"council" is like listening to long-ago-teachers who gave me something to
carry forward and pass on, do you think?
Also wondering from Wiegel's study in San Antonio last February of the 9
Disciplines of the Facilitator book - and Roger Alexander's photos of the
charts- what the interior council of a Facilitator might sound like in the
ear -or heart of a facilitator or as spoken word of council?
This isn't any deep cognitive research, for sure, seems more like
remembering good teachers and good council and good poetry and good
storytelling than anything else.
Do you have anything to share on meditative counci (NRM) l or interior
council (9DoF? Do I have the experience and categories correct anyway in
your view?
