          Thanks to everyone who submitted nominees for Green America's second annual Green Grants contest! We received literally hundreds of amazing nominees from local green projects all over the country, and now...  it's time to vote! 
          We selected the top ten  projects that combine both sides of the green-economy equation – social justice AND environmental sustainability, along with community AND ecological health -- projects that are good for both people AND the planet.
          Vote for your favorite today » 
          Amongst the list of top ten nominees, you'll find it all: organics, recycling, Fair Trade,  local food initiatives, social justice, clean energy, youth involvement, energy efficiency, green buildings, green transportation, outreach to lower-income communities, all kinds of good, green community cooperation. The best news is that these projects are happening all across the country, with communities everywhere declaring that a shift to a greener economy will benefit us all. 
          You can find more information on each of the Top Ten finalists by clicking the links at right. Then, you can vote to help your favorite project win one of four green grants – a top prize of $2,500, and three second prizes of $1,000.
