ICA is reinventing itself (yet again - of course it has been on-going) as we prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ICA. Part of this process is sensing what is happening at this time in history. I encountered the movement just after the phenomenal summer when reports from colleagues' reading 1000 books were fed into what became the social process triangles. It almost seems as if something with that kind of breadth is needed now.
This morning on NPR's Morning Edition they reported on something called Google Trends - that apparently U.S. intelligence is tapping into in order to sense what is happening. Might some of our tehnologically savvy colleagues be able to access this? And if so, what key words would we as the ICA want them to research as we look at how we can use our resources to the best advantage? This could be in addition to what our colleagues already know about.
Here's a link to the story on-line.

If the link does not work, try pasting it into your browser. If that doesn't work, go to www.NPR.org . On that home page of NPR, go down to close to the bottom of the left hand column and find the red letter category of Technology. The new tool for intelligence is there to click on.
