Thank you so much Alice. That means a lot to me. We are on a real roller coaster. The internist last night told my step daughter, I was out to dinner with my daughter, Catherine, and her husband (she was 2 months old when we went to the Bahamas), anyway, the doctor told my step daughter that things didn't look good at all and we would be facing some hard decisions. But this morning Art was back. He tried to talk though we could only understand some of it. But he was lucid when asked about where he was and asked to follow commands. I asked him if he was handsome and he shook his head no, his standard answer. Then I asked him if I was his sweetheart and he nodded his head yes, right answer. And the neuro surgeon told us that he has seen patients in Art's condition fully recover. Later Art began to have seizures again. He has had five today. These are gran mal seizures. So again he is heavily sedated. Hopefully, the brain just needs time to heal. They are putting a tube in his stomach so he can get some nutrition. I think this is all big stuff and a delicate balance. Time will tell.
