[Dialogue] Spong's take on Political Gridlock

I have a friend, an architect and artist who has made a 911 memorial
in the form of 2 steel verticals and 2 steel horizontals bisecting the verticals.
It resembles an orthodox cross except it is 2 crosses side by side if you get
the image.

His hope is for the future, not ground zero.

He says the 10 year cultural conversation is like a family sitting down to Sunday
dinner and someone burnt the roast. People 10 years later are still arguing with each other
whether to eat beans or to go get their shotguns.

His intention is to start symbolizing the future not the dispute.

Maybe Ellie could be so kind as to summarize Spong's view with a story
not only a link. I hope he has something to say on the subject.

For me, I stand up for the future not the burnt roast.
