Yellow Submarine song is an "Earworm" in my ear, how about you? What about
the words?

An earworm is a piece of music that sticks in one's mind so that one seems
to hear it, even when it is not being played.

It is like a piece of involuntary repetitive awareness, some figment you
hear but don't play, don't practice the form, don't dance the music.

My friend Litibu colleague Jack Gilles hates it when I call this stuff
nostalgia.

Some Buddhists say nostalgia isn't what it use to be. When you don't make
music now and only recycle the old top 40 tunes you are stuck there in
those tunes...resurecting the past.

I'm thinking that's what Ma Greely said to Mountain, or should have
said...when Mountain was stuck in his own nostalgia, back in the old days
when he was, what? Can't quite remember where he said he stood.

At some point - says the same Buddhist - there is an opportunity to
wake-up an notice that there is fresh music to make even now, with an ear
worm stuck in your ear, fresh music.

Wondering if this is so for Bonhoeffer's freedom words...or are the words
an ear worm just like the tune?

Anyone have something new to say or share about Bonhoeffer's take on
freedom now?

I have Alfrieda's email address and will share your email address with her
if you ask me to, not sure she wants her email out there or not...
