[Dialogue] Regarding Scapegoating

'The enemy of my enemy is my friend' is a potent force.  For a while.  Then
it becomes cannabilistic once the enemy is killed and the force remains
unfocused; it has to choose a new target to restore the (false) stability it
provided.  

 

There was a great Twilight Zone episode on alien invasion - one by one,
neighbors selected another 'victim' as the hidden invading alien.  At the
end, two shadowed figures watching remarked, 'It always works.  You just
have to let them do it for you.'

 

Who says the demonic isn't powerful?
