After the disaster, Taiwan donated about 20 billion Japanese yen
(US$260.64 million) in cash to Japanesequake victims, 90 percent of
which came from individual donors. My thanks also to ICA Japan for their
direct relief efforts to the farthest north away from Tokyo.
