LOCAL AUTONOMY

1) The Foundation of local autonomy is globality. This is a mind set, a style, a life decision. It is the awareness of the profound indicative. It is the mode of feeling, perceiving, acknowledging, deciding globally. Anyone who has thus not postured himself can never comprehend local autonomy. All of this is a matter of spirit. It is the "Xavier" mentality. A Korean in San Francisco who is global would hence be better than a U.S. citizen. Such a Korean in Korea would be equally effective. But a Korean interested just in Korea is not only useless, he is a stumbling block. So with an American north or south.

2) The stuff or substance of local autonomy is that the universal is done in the particular. The postage stamp becomes the globe. It is the macro in the micro and vise versa. This is the Xavier syndrome. You do what you please to the glory of God. That is you do the Missionthat is do it not imagine it. And in doing "it" maintain the common symbols and corporate principles. It is doing the entire globe within your areas, region, metro or parish.

3) The spirit of local autonomy is the love of the world. It is Christian love. It is filling space with detached pure agape. It is detachment from our personal preferences or wanting to be something. It is embracing God's being of us. It is endlessnessness. It is cruciformitygiving ourselves unto death. It is deciding on the election of the religiouslay or cleric (tese are very secondary). It is being absolutely humanthe burden of the whole worlduniversal benevolence.

4) The discipline of local autonomy is prostration before the movement. It is obedience and detachment which is purity of heart in the concrete. It is the radical intentionality in freedom and necessity rendered effective in the actual possibility. It is the strange decision to be "nobody". It is the building of the commonness. It is the explosion to areal/global accountability. It is grasping onto the global design. . . . .
