TWO SUITCASES

Two suitcases are my home:

In one suitcase I have packed my equipment for seminary, college and sodality. It contains a Bible, a theology book, a copy of St. John of the Cross, some Religious Curriculum notes, worship paraphernalia for the Christian year, a few blue clothes. and a cross to hang around my neck.

In the second suitcase I have packed my circus tent for social catalysis. It contains a social process triangle, a chart of the Other World, a book or two on India or politics, a songbook, some Social Curriculum notes, a business suit, a cabaret costume, some work clothes, and a guild wedge blade that pins to my collar.

I have no other home except the earth itself and its entire history. My passport and my street address have become ridiculous to me, though of course necessary to please the governments of this present earth.
