I've tried to gear into the new religious mode. The dynamics of awakenment engagement and effulgence are the missional counterpart of the new religious relative to knowing, being and doing.

The greatest lectures were in the new religious mode. Following summer '70 work we were going to work out the interior dynamics but we didn't do it. The job is still to be done.

Effulgence is the intensification of awakenment and engagement. Meaning is found in a new religious mode. The bridge is poverty and prayer. As we move into the next level toward raw being when deal with transrational awaken. And engagement which is cruciformity, and with contemplation & chastity I have in engagement arena. But over-1apping is pov/obed, prayer/obed, crucif/chastity. The bridge is prayer/med, pov/med in middle. It throws one into nothingness of being ( joy unspeakable, full of glory, hope beyond hope, participating in eternality of God) all beyond description. The basic categories to be chiseled are intensification of chastity/ awareness, intensification of crucifixion and intensification of contemplation.

I begin with contemplation. This is not an exercise to go aside and do. It is a state of being, to say it aloud relatively dissipates the state. The State is not important; it is the state in which you become aware of the mystery in the overagainstness. Jesus was aware of the storm and the sun and sunrise and rain, in his brothers and sisters and al1 creatures, of the presence of a strange mystery that he referred to as FATHER.

I was aware the North Shore cadre was not prepared to take a global trip­relative to being aware of the spirit. They experienced it. After it was over they grasped what happened. They didn't have to go to China. It is the most at handedness of all realities.

The meaning of care is to throw life down the sewer in Maliwada for all the days of my life. I was overwhelmed with the work you did, all for the sake of the suffering humanity. It makes it secondary whether you brought in $30,000 or $100,000. Without this you cannot care. That: is the meaning of loving God. To love God and the neighbor are inseparable.

2. CHASTITY

This has to do with the awareness of ultimate reality. It has to do with Josiah Royce spending his life reflecting on this. I related him to Jonathan Edwards. This is related to the fact that ultimate loyalty is reality only when loyalty is to the ultimate. When loyal to kids that is confession of sin. It is ours to manipulate or blackmail, to manifest seflessness. Selflessness is not developed. It is a gift to get sorted out. It is related to vocation. It is not related to the mind. It is loyalty to life. It is related to calling. All men are called to God. Its means having the power of God. It is the key to courage.

INTENSIFIED KNOWING

Heavenly wisdom that comes from above. It is the Christ event having generated every fibre of your being. Slicker has understood this better than anyone. Once the mind departs from this ----- it's one and only true focus of the mind a clouding of reason takes place. When you get caught in women, kids, the cloud overtakes reason and capacity. It becomes obvious when one writes to justify the gesture they are taking. The day you are in the field when you can't win, your capacity gets dulled. The key to the intellectual factor as over against emotional factor, creativity is released. You see through and have guts. You see one simple truth: your life can't be more a sign than it is at this second. This is the key to creativity. Defending the honor of God is related to daring to BE intensified knowing in every situation. Not just thinking but being in every situation. Beckett saw this.

INTENSIFIED BEING

It is crucifixion. Crucifixion I thought was being nailed to a cross or getting my throat slit or innocent suffering. It is living my life in service to God. Not related to your turning over in an auto or going away at 92 when your heart stops or end up in an electric chair. It's your whole life. Laying down your life seems moralistic. Yet when you push through that's what it is. The key is corporateness. No such thing as laying down your life alone. I saw a play called the Crimson road; in the concluding scene on a winding road, thousands climbed it. My mother was there, unknown mothers, people who never heard of the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost. This is service, love, power, honor of God. What it means to really live. We know what we are about. This circle allows us to move through week after week, til the last leaf. Be it tomorrow or many moons. So it is we march on the crimson road.
