April 22

Dear Joe,

Just a quick note to send you greetings, and to tell you that our Guardian's meeting went extremely well this past weekend . We did some corporate reflection on it in our Development Centrum this morning, and some things were mentioned that I thought were terribly exciting (besides George Walter' comment that this was the best we had ever had. He said we kept the thing bubbling all weekend, and it was outstanding in terms of its orchestration).

BREAKTHROUGHS:

l. Cultural triangles applied to business. The corporationin mission makes sense to them; that corporations see themselves already in history, and they are waiting to become missionalized.

2. Many had their jobs given back to them. They saw the basis for a tactical system. They saw how they could move in their companies.

3. No questions were asked about what is the movement doing these days. They saw themselves a part of it. It is no longer is it your money or your life, but both that is required.

4. Mr. True from the east said this was the most significant weekend of his whole life. He says the only struggle is how to be in the order and keep up with his medical practice.

5. They saw the need for us to experiment with trade guilds as well as community Builds.

6. They obviously struggled with how to put together the picture of their lives working on their local scenes working in development, on Lens, in how to keep their jobs and be the movement on the local scene.

7. Oscar's Majuro invitation was so exciting that two men went to Ken Gilbert and got shots during the weekend.

8.They had an interior happening that makes the guild possible. The saw the collapse of their job situation as pure gift and power. Had grace pronounced in their particular situation.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

1. Commonization of mission work

2. Some old guardian standby's like Thorsen were not there, and they moved on anyway.

3. They saw themselves as making crucial decisions about the global centrum dynamic, and saw themselves a part of it.

4. They made significant research in polity, especially in local analysis.

5. Charles Moore's closing address got them grounded in RS-I and they were deeply addressed by his reference to their being the religious.

6. Think tank products are useful, significant work.

7. In the social processes work, significant things were said that could be used in LENS economic lecture.

8. Working on polity models made the social processes come alive

It was truly a great weekend. We missed you! We are delighted to hear via Faith that things are going well for you.

Grace and Peace, Betty
