A Solstice  Appreciation
2004

We are grateful for a year of small yet glorious events:

    *visits to beaches,zoos, parks and their homes and ours with 
grand-children, who help us see life with fresh eyes, and whose parents continue to bless 
our lives,

    *travel to Idaho with Mother, who at 92 years is game to go,

    *Judy Collins on our 48th anniversary, with friends Trudy and Robert, who 
didn’t let us take the event for granted,

    *Jann’s return to a first grade classroom for 14 weeks in the spring, and 
to fourth grade one day a week in the fall, for a great flow of energy, both 
in and out ,

    *birthday celebrations of note:  Patrick’s 40th, Lynn Woltjer’s 60th 
(Pat was 4 when we met Lynn, who still knows how to throw a party--several 
beautiful days in Mendocino),

    *July retreat with our women’s circle, a pause to let our wisdom surface, 
to celebrate our lives as they are, to move on,

    *Good movies as art, science and politics:  Maria, Full of Grace, What 
the Bleep do we Know?, and Fahrenheit 9/11,

    *John Prine in concert, and a brilliant autumn stay in Mineral King with 
Gil Woltjer and Sheryl Anderson,

    *hosting a visit from niece Michelle Hale and getting to show her partner 
Meridith the giant sequoias for the first time,

    *fellowhood with Lindsay Presbyterian Church and with our group of 
healers who meet each new moon and full moon,

    *staying in touch with YOU as a sacred part of this sacred time of year.
