Thank you for sharing this letter.  It made my own heart clang like a church 
bell.  I'm not in dialogue with a monastic order, but having joined a local 
Presbyterian congregation last summer, I experience a longing similar to the one 
you expressed so well:  "I deeply wish to be associated with a monastic 
community with which I may share the

deepest questions of polity, witness, mission, form, faith, and 
sustainability. I long for a community with which to be on intimate terms as a fellow 
traveler."  I'd substitute local church for monastic, in that quote.
