Colleagues,
The way I remember it is: "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of
the living God." Try one of the Bible search sites or quote sites. I have
not loaded my Bible program since having my laptop redone last year.
You could try http://www.quotationspage.com/ or http://www.quoteland.com/ or
Barlett for older quotes at http://www.bartleby.com/100/.
I did not have much luck but Byron and Shakespeare were found.
To reply to Jon's question about "fear": the meaning here and other places
and other places for Biblical quotes, e.g., "The fear of the Lord is the
beginning of wisdom." - has to do with Rudolph Otto and others including D.
H. Lawrence has to do with what we might call "awesome" or "overwhelming"
rather than scared.
Peace,
Harry

Hi people,
Does any one know the exact quote that goes something like, "It's a fearful
thing to be grasped by a loving God?' Who said it or wrote it.
Thanks for any leads.
David
