[Oe List ...] Lest we get too sentimental about the Gipper

I just took the time to check out each of the links below recommended by Richard Maguire. Great stuff, all. Did not know about The Corporation film (has everyone seen Fahrenheit 9-11?). Was so taken with George Lakoff's tutorial on framing (the art of using persuasive, image-creating contexts and language) that I copied it off the Rockridge site & pasted it into Word so I can begin to digest it. Important training for many battles -- including, but not limited to, the one in the U.S. from now until Nov. 2. Many thanks, Richard.

  >Hi everyone

This article goes well with Dick's
  cartoon. http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0607-10.htm

If you haven't heard of The Corporation, Canada's latest contribution to
democratic sanity, have a look at http://www.thecorporation.tv/ The
  Economist even liked it (mostly).

There's something else good at the University of Texas at Austin,
  http://uts.cc.utexas.edu/~rjensen/freelance/illusionsofsuperiority.htm

And finally on the need for attention to the cultural dimension of politics
  try www.rockridgeinstitute.org

All encouraging signs for our times, I think

  Richard
