I've been planning to include some of what took place at the Spring J.S. in my May "offering." But since I will be spending a week in Georgia and the Carolinas the first week of May; and Bob Funk, the director of the Institute, sent this out to some of us who are in his Associates leadership team, I thought I would pass it along for what its worth. I think it certainly speaks to those of us who have tried to remain at least somewhat "plugged-in" to the life of the Christian church. He's speaking specifically to a young man who was struggling mightily about what he should say on Easter Sunday morning, when he knew what he had in his heart would blow most of his congregation right out of the water! I've also signed up just tonight to host a group in my area who might want to gather and work on Jim Wallis' "God's Politics." I was saying to someone recently that if a significant part of the "movement" that was E.I., I.C.A. and O.E. and the Jesus Seminar "movement" and maybe even Gene Marshall's Realistic Living "movement, could see value in joining with Jim Wallis and his "movement," then we really might have a MOVEMENT!!! I, for one, see similarities in what these "movements" are seeking to do and be. David Zollars
