[Oe List ...] Fox on Benedict XVI

Harry,

Thanks for keeping track of this. We live in a strange world of censorship
these days. In Chapel Hill a group called IPAS was denied the right to
advertise on our local NPR station because they said their mission was
"women's health and reproductive rights." The term "reproductive rights" was
considered too political. IPAS had been spending $18,000 per year as a local
sponsor of WUNC.

Jann and Colleagues,

Mary Ann and I listened to NPR Morning Edition, 7-9 am EST, today, Monday,
April 25, 2005. Matthew Fox was not on the broadcast. There was a segment
about Pope Benedict XVI at 8:20-8:30 am EST that contained several quotes
from various sources, a 50/50 for/against format. Matthew's voice or quotes
were not broadcast. Here is a link to what was said this morning
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4618049.

I just checked the NPR web site and there is no indication that he was
scheduled to be broadcast. Does anyone have any further information about
this? Thanks.

Peace,
Harry
