[Oe List ...] Reflections on Christmas, the Order, ICA, the Movement and OE

To Karen and others. Thank you for your good comments and reflections. I
agree with Karen that the methods can be liberating and ICA has done a
wonderful job of carrying them forward. Let's reflect on how the
self-conscioiusly religious and spiritual part may also be carried forward.
By that I don't necessarily mean the exact words we used, but the spiritual
truths we learned, now enriched by our experience.

I am involved with The New Monk Society (Tim Watson, Joe Matthews nephew, is
President). It is dedicated to monks (lay contemplatives) in the world (not
cloistered, but living ordinary lives on the outside) as bearers of
civilization in a somewhat, or perhaps very, dark age. This may be a vehicle
of some use for us.

  I appreciated your reflections, Herman.  I don't remember ever meeting
you, but it is obvious we both experienced the order and RS-1.

  The way that I justify the method being the key is that when an ICA person
leads a workshop, all ideas count.  Every input from every person is taken
into account.  Every person's wisdom is honored.  That is the key to our
work in the villages, in businesses, in the church.  And it equates,
theologically, to everyone being a beloved child of God.  And All is Good.
The method is not only key, it is the message.

  I'm writing off the "top of my head".  I'll look forward to other
responses to my statement.
