Great news!  Just one word from experience with this kind of recovery:  after the first spurt of recovery, most of us tend to have in the back of our minds that "as strong as normal" should reasonably come in a few weeks.  Let not frustration sneak up when it doesn't.  Just enjoy the extra rest, and the deepened savour of life that's a gift - for you both - from an experience like this.

  Just a quick word, since several have asked recently.

  Charles came home from the hospital Saturday, the
  15th. The doctor told him to walk and when he was not
  walking to keep his feet up; so he's pretty much done
  that. He also can go up and down stairs; so we didn't
  have to move furniture around.

  He continues to get stronger, and we both continue to
  be thankful for your candles, energy, prayers,
  support.
