Three reflections on Susan's stunning witness.

I am convicted of the sin of arrogance for failing to look beyond the
superficiality of political conviction to the witness of another's heart.

I am humbled by the grace that helped me to stop destroying the very people
to whom I owe the deepest gratitude for mediating saving grace.

I am stunned by the demand that 'all the suffering, injustice and misery in
the world' place on me to repent of any cultural prejudice that holds the
suffering of another just beyond the range of my own heart.
