Michael Lerner’s Radical Needs 

1. Need for work that contributes to the common good
2. Need for love and sanctity  in family life and friendships
3, Need for privacy and protection from the invasiveness of new technologies
4. Need for relationship to nature that 
    A. fosters ecological sustainability 
    B. fosters  a massive effort to repair environmental damage
    C. encourages awe and wonder and joyous celebration at the grandeur of 
creation
5. Need to experience and form a life that has a relationship to the 
spiritual dimension, that is, to those aspects of  reality that cannot be measured  or 
subjected to empirical verification
6. Need for a society that encourages
    A. kindness
    B. generosity
    C. compassion
    D. non-violence
    E. peace
    F. social justice
   G. pleasure
   H. wisdom
7. Need for a society that rejects manipulative, technocratic, reductionist 
thinking
