Dear Ones,

As most of you know, Fred had a radical nephrectomy to remove his cancerous 
right kidney last Tuesday, July 18.  The surgery went well, and the really
good 
news is that the cancer hadn't spread past the kidney capsule.  He'll need
no 
further treatment.  He spent three days in ICU and three days in the 
telemetry ward, and was discharged this morning, Monday, July 24.  He
received 
excellent care in our local hospital, Sierra View in Porterville, CA.
Compared to 
the complications of his gall bladder surgery in February, this seemed like
a 
piece of cake.

We are so grateful for the blessings of family and community support we've 
both been enjoying.  Every visit, card, phone call and e-mail occasioned our

experience of the grace of the Divine.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
And 
thank Heaven.

Grace is yours, and peace.  May it be so.
