David,
The passion of your mind is compelling. You have expressed it well.
At the entrance of my shovel of a dwelling is a metal sheet that reads:
"the Majuro House." Right below hangs an iron Congolese Cross. They represent
my daily office and end of the day accountability structure. They remind me
of who I am, what I do and what I know. The name I give all that is the
Order Ecumenical!
Each summer, in my mind, I formulate a report on the year's happenings in my
sector (Area Suva), deliver it to a virtual global order council. My
entrance symbols run the accountability ritual, and I move out of the apartment,
muttering "Yes and No," or "No and Yes." Been doing this twenty-two years.
Would have been interesting if I jotted my reports down in a journal!
Your call to consciousness and corresponding "do" should resonate among the
60+ year olds among us (though not exclusively) who may still have a decade
spurt of genius to accommodate giving form to the doing, knowing and being of the
Order Ecumenical. There is a ripeness of the time, and I sense in myself a
readiness to say, "We are the People."
The newly opened O:E repository offers a platform of discourse. David, if
you've already done some doodling, offer us a framework on how we might get the
"talk stories" stage initiated, with the intent of eventually embodying the
Order Ecumenical and someone, actually booking a hotel hall somewhere so that
we might mix the margaritas and the bloody marys once again, but for the first
time! Let the hacking begin.
