Dear Fred and Jann,
Thank you for sharing this news. I have marked the Calendar for July 18th
,and will add your names to our list for daily prayer.
We remember you both with great affection.
Right now we are having our "winter"- and will spend this next week with
some of our children and grandchildren out in the bush- next to a working
farm with animals....the children have 2 weeks holiday from School.
with love and blessings without number on your lives,
Isobel and Jim.

> new news to some of you, and some of you know Fred has been undergoing
> tests.
> So here's the scoop. When Fred had gall bladder surgery in February, a CT
> scan revealed a rather large spot on his right kidney. Now it has been
> diagnosed as cancer. He has had no symptoms, and his lungs and bones are
> cancer-free, so the treatment is a rather straightforward surgery to
> remove the kidney.
> His kidney function is normal, so he should do fine on one kidney. No

> or radiation is required. He is in good spirits. Your fervent prayers

> solicited and greatly appreciated.

> Surgery is scheduled for July 18. He'll be in the hospital five days to a
> week.
>
> I am so gratified that I'll be able to go to my annual retreat with the
> Wise
> Wild Women in Washington. I fly out of Fresno July 6 and return July ll.
> Fred will stay with our sons Pat and Scott and their families while I'm
> gone/
