Hi, Jann, Thank you for the message and the good story. Pat just went into
every situation with style and fearlessly, or so it seemed to me always. I
didn't realize or don't remember knowing anyway that you and Fred and
children were in the house with them. Love to you and Fred, Ann

Bob and Pat Stewart were 2nd priors in the San Francisco House when Fred and
I and our four children interned there in 1970 -71. It was the year of the
local church experiment, and First St. John's UMC, corner of Clay and
Larkin,
was foundational in our area, and Bob and Pat held up the congregation and
all
of us, in many ways.
One vivid memory I have of Pat is of her boarding a train, summer '71, with
"her" children: Tom Wainwright, Scott, Patrick and Barry McGuire, and Jon
and
Elizabeth Elizondo, bound for camp in Louisiana. Who was more brave,
Patricia
or Elizabeth?
It was such a privilege to have known her.
Love and blessings,
Jann McGuire
