So, I am outside Jerusalem attending a workshop and spent the day walking around the old city, saw the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall and the Church of the Sepulchre and was surprised at my interior reaction.  It was chrystalized in reading a brochure about the western wall (where Abraham went with Isaac, where the temple was built, the wall where people of the Jewish faith go to pray) and it talked about the sense of awe that is there, and I could not find it, not in any of the 3 places.  So I wondered, where is the local church, now, almost to the end of the 40 years of practical renewal . . .
