Hello friends,
Alice Baumbach's witness about her silent retreat moved me to think of a
little slide presentation about "Spiritual Direction Colorado," a committee
on which I serve. The committee began 10 years ago within the Episcopal
Diocese of Colorado with the mission of making people more aware of
spiritual direction as a resource for personal transformation.
Now, ten years on, we find ourselves more ecumenical (Episcopal, Lutheran,
Presbyterian, Roman Catholic), more balanced (lay and clergy, women and
men), and more interested in hitting the road on behalf of congregational
revitalization and ecumenical connection.
Our energy arises at least in part because we see spiritual direction as a
strategy for helping people deepen in the life of the spirit--and
potentially carry them right beyond the tar pits of fundamentalism or
doctrinalism.
I thought some of you might like to have a look. You can download the PDF
version of the presentation document (1.7MB) by clicking on the link
below--or copying and pasting it into your web browser window.

The best to all.
