Hi--
As you may know, I have become actively involved in an emerging group
called the Network of Spiritual Progressives (_http://www.nspmn.org/_
(http://www.nspmn.org/) ),
founded by Rabbi Michael Lerner based on the principles set forth in
his new best selling book, THE LEFT HAND OF GOD. Rabbi Lerner documents
the spiritual hunger in America and advocates a new bottom line of love
and compassion instead of our society's relentless pursuit of money,
power, and self interest.
Rabbi Lerner is coming to Minnesota on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2006, to
keynote the first MIDWEST CONFERENCE OF SPIRITUAL PROGRESSIVES at Wesley
United Methodist Church and the Minneapolis Convention Center next
door. In the morning, he will set forth his vision for a new bottom
line, joined on the speaker's platform by Reverend James Gertmenian of
Plymouth Church and progressive spiritual and political activist
Farheen Hakeem.
In the afternoon, progressive panelists in every field--health care,
education, business, environmental protection, and popular
culture--will explain how right now they are organizing their lives and
their institutions to pursue this new bottom line of spiritual values.
This conference will be a celebration of what we can do together!
Please go to the NSP web site at _http://www.nspmn.org/_
(http://www.nspmn.org/) , check out the
details of the conference, and sign up today! And then pass this email
along to your friends. See you on November 18! http://www.nspmn.org/
P.S. Please register early, as we are expecting a large turnout.

justice. If we fall in love with creation deeper and deeper, we will
respond to its endangerment with passion." -Hildegard of Bingen
