Dearest Jan and Fred,

I will pray for your peace and calm and wonderfilled healing.
I will pray for your forgiving and being forgiven.
I will pray for the love that comes unceasingly, unconditionally, and
eternally that is with us all.

Amen, Amen,

I had a abdomen sonar with a liver cyst, a mention of what looked like a
nodule on my liver, and went for a liver CT scan which came back with a
report of clean and clear just today, but I prayed this same prayer.

Blessings to the whole family,

Evelyn Kurihara Philbrook

Dear Ones,

I've been putting off writing this letter, but the time has come. (Actually

I wrote it Saturday and thought I sent it. Just found it in my "Mail
Waiting
to be Sent" box. Duh.)

Fred had a CT guided biopsy Tuesday on a lump at the base of his neck. Our
doctor got a preliminary report yesterday indicating it is cancerous. It
will
be a few days before they know whether it is primary to the lymph system or
from another source. He had chest and abdomen CT scans yesterday, so as
soon as
the pathology reports are back, we hope treatment can begin. It seems like
it takes ages to get all the information they need to proceed, but he had
been
getting pulmonary and cardiac tests of all kinds to try to figure out why
his
energy level has been so low, so maybe it won't be long.

Fred says to tell you that he is all right, and it's true he maintains great

serenity and humor in spite of the debilitaty of the last 15 months (and in
spite of my not-always-so-loving care.)

Please pray for him, and for me, that we proceed with wisdom while staying
in
the present moment, where we are richly nurtured and sustained by Love, our
source and destiny. I often think of how the prayers of our many circles of

community helped and sustained us during my cancer treatment and Fred's
cerebral
hemorrhage eight years ago. We are so grateful to God for the blessing of
our beloved fellow sojourners in this life.

We'll keep you posted on this journey.

Love and blessings,
