[Oe List ...] Question

Dear Karen

My own priest brother does this all the time.  It means he has prayed for all your own concerns,issues, wishes, whatever.  For New Agers it might be equivaslent to putting these things out there into the universe to give focus and intentionality.

  My husband, JR, was raised Catholic, and he has a cousin who is a priest.  We got a Christmas card from the priest which read "The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of (our names)"

  Who can tell me what "intentions" means in this context?
