It has bothered me for all these months that the board acted upon the advice 
of a consultant to solve the financial crisis by firing the entire program 
staff but keep the bookkeeper, receptionist and janitors. Who did they 
imagine would run the programs that generated the revenue to pay the bills 
plus the salaries and benefits for the bookkeeper, receptionist and 
janitors.? I sure their consultant did not have a clue.

I don't know who wrote this, but I can explain, quite simply, that the "bookkeeper(s)" were kept on to finish?the books for the year and prepare for the audit.? They are now gone.? The receptionist and Kemper building maintenance staff are recessary to keep the building running, and are paid out of the rent money.? The programs did not generate enough revenue to cover the salaries of the program staff, let alone, all the other things you mention.? Once again, we have been losing about $250k every year for the last fifteen years, and are trying desperately to forge a viable future.
