[Oe List ...] current dialog and a question

Great to hear from you again.  Please give our respects to Ellery and Tony.
Do you know if their email addresses are subscribed either to the OE or
Dialogue lists?

 

I have wanted to say something about each of our lists for some time.  So
here is what I understand.

 

Before Vail the Dialogue was in existence basically for missional
conversations around the work of the EI/ICA.  This has come now to a broad
interpretation generally about commenting on innocent suffering/the
forgotten ones and solutions to the same from many parts of the globe.

 

You are certainly correct that the original intent of the OE list was for a
dialogue among generations for those directly members of the OE and who had
lived in religious houses.  Since then the conversation has broadened to any
and all issues of interest with those who actually lived in the locations
and the structure the order ecumenical.

 

Many times folks have posted to both lists.  I would like to see a little
more discrimination as to what subjects are posted on each list.  There is
no reason to subscribe to both lists if folks will continue to post all
their thoughts to both lists.

Hello Group.  Jon Elizondo here.  Son of Antonio and Ellery.

I just finished helping my parents move from Kemper to Houston.

 

I have been following the discussion going on here with interest from my
many perspectives.  I have several thousand things to say, which I will most
certainly pare down, however, I have a question first...

 

Long ago, after the 2000 Vail gathering, a list serve was set up with one of
its purposes being the dialog between the first and the second generations.
My question is:

 

Is this listserve/email group interested in a dialog between the
generations?

Is there another one set up for that purpose?

I know with all the changes in servers and email lists, I have wondered
about this, especially as that kind of general discussion has not happened
in This forum in some time.

 

I do not wish to include people in the discussion that don't want to be in
the discussion, and I have some reflections on the current set of
discussions which may stir the pot a bit.

 

Not all of what I wish to share falls into that category, and there a times
when I'm not sure if what I'm asking about even matters at all.
Nonetheless, to respect my desire for connection, I pose this query.  Thanks
to all in advance for your thoughts and considerations.
