[Oe List ...] Looking for a Document

Good to hear your breif news.

I just came from Atlanta where I was working with Partnership for Community
Action. I was staying with Charles Lingo who is the old ICA colleague who
worked with Andy Young and King and others. He bought the Atlanta house back
in the late 80s after it was first closed. He has made it into a meditation
Sanga in the tradition of Thick Nagt Hahn. 

He knew I knew Lois Reeves cause we visisted her at her elders home and took
her out to eat when I was there about four or five years ago. We tried to
look her up but found she had left that home presumably to live with her
daughter. However, we were unable to trace the daughter nor Lois's where
abouts.

Elise's Name change from Keith is the symbol of having accomplished her Phd.
She took the name in rememberence of Elise Boulding wife of Kenneth boulding
who you may remember wrote the papers we study for Imaginal Education. She
Learnned Dutch just so she could translate the dutchman's book Image of
History, from which her husband took much of the inspiration for imaginal
education. She is a Quaker and continues to produce many influencial things
in the field of education since her husbands death a bout three years back.

Elise is now engaged in the International Family Literacy Projects in
Rawanda and India which are an advance of the work she was doing most
recently with ICA with the learning basket.

My mother and father are doing just fine in Cleveland.

Emma is doing community work with a group of residents in Shaker Heights, OH
where she and Dad still live. The foreclosure problem has hit Shaker in a
bad way. Imagine, one street in the city has had 28 foreclosures! Mom's
original intent was to just do a strategic plan for the group and then fade
into the background... Instead, she and Carl Hess are up to their necks in
the issue. Although she is a good follower, her strengths and passions are
in leadership.

We have been trying to get in-touch with Lois Reeves. Last word was that she
was in Atlanta, GA. Do you have any word on her?

October when they spun off the facilitation units to go on their own. I ran
accros your name in Cincinnati and wondered are you still there. Tonight as

I sort of remember such a document, but am sure I don't have it. Perhaps
some one who knows the archives will know. My fuess is it would have been a
part of starting businesses in the Human development projects or perhaps
have been done in relation to the IRDP in India in 1984. I'll try to do a
little smelling around for it. But others will probably take you right to
the source.

Mean while What is your news and that of your family. I have heard nothing
and am way out of date. You spoke about going through your mom's files --
has she died? is she Ill? Your dad? I am embarassed to say I have been out
of contact for more than two years. 

I did run into Myron Smith two months ago on one of my many trips back
through Chicago. He was visiting from Washington DC where he is working I
think designing forms for the IRS.

Hello,

I hope all is well with everyone.

I am looking for a document that was produced either by ICA or EI. It is a
document on how to start-up or to establish a business. I would suspect that
the document was produced to help businesses start in 5th City, but I cannot
be sure of that. I remember the document to be about sixty pages in length
and having a orange or brown cover. I think there was a reference to
"Industry" in the title.

I came home to Cleveland to look through all of my mother's (Emma Melton)
papers and the documents that Harold Williams bequeathed to her and I have
not found the document. Between she and Harold, there was a lot to look
through.

I am asking you to look through your personal archives and see if you have a
copy of the document. If you have a copy, I would like to get in-touch with
you. I am willing to either pay you to photocopy the document yourself or if
you send it to me, I will photocopy the document and return it to you right
away. My address and telephone number are listed below.
