I really like your version, Jaime!  

I'm still trying to understand ... was this tune really used by the Nazi regime?  or does it just have that association because of the movie Cabaret?   From what a couple of people said it sounds like it was written specifically for the movie (in which case it obviously was never actually used by Nazis).  Not sure that it matters ... but I'm curious.  I'm kind of like Del ... I can't really hear this song without thinking of that scene in Cabaret, which definitely taints it.

  Not having the historical memory, my island kids had been singing the following for the last four years.  This localized version uses local flora and sites and is sung on Earth Day.  So far, has had no complaints.
