[Oe List ...] Silber on the Mathews brothers

Hi Marshall,

Joe and I were present at the BU event in 2005 and remember well these
fine words of commendation from Silber.  At a weekend event a few years
earlier in DC, the United Methodist Foundation honored Jim and Eunice's
ministry.  John Silber spoke similar words of commendation for the
important ministries of both Joe and Jim.  

At the time, those of us Order folk gathered there (the Cravers, the
Cocks, the Crockers -- I'm sure there were others) stood in gratitude. We
remembered tales of heated debates between JWM and JS in the early days
in Texas; we rejoiced in the perspective the passage of time provides for
us all.
