For those interested you can get on Alternet by going to
http://www.alternet.org/ and sign up for the email newsletter, and/or Common
Dreams at http://www.commondreams.org/

I'm wondering what blogs and other news services we are finding helpful
these days in keeping up with the world. I find http://aljazeera.com/ and
http://english.aljazeera.net/English a good balance to the US media along
with some of the news from BBC and various Asian countries. The RSS feeds
are also very helpful where available and where you can taylor them to your
interests.

Using tabs on my browser I can load up the major news channels from around
the world and have them waiting every morning, where you can do a quick run
down on what's being reported, sort of like the front end of one of our old
news conversation.
